COUNTING BLESSINGS FOR MYSELF
...AND FOR YOU
One favorite song of the Thanksgiving season is the hymn, COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS. “Count your blessings, name them one by one. Count your blessings, see what God hath done."
And it is true: in times of hardship and difficulty, it helps to count our blessings and to remember that God's goodness is still at work for us. Counting our blessings strengthens faith, giving us the courage to go on.
But did you know that there is another reason to count our blessings? Not only to strengthen our own faith, but the faith of others.
That's the thing about being a follower of Jesus: We're not just living for ourselves: we are always living for others, too.
