This is Say More Radio SWR 99.9 FM's signature track. We believe that musicians colour our world and also gives us a way to feel and express our emotions.
8.02pm Life performed by Jyel Tagbo & Sensitivo
Words music & arrangement by Jyel Tagbo;scratches & turntables by Erwin “DJ Niko” Laqueo; recorded at Gusi Records;mixed & mastered by Angee Rozul;
Realize how precious life is, see how it can be taken away. Let’s all be very conscientious now of how precious life is and how quickly life can be taken away from us, especially at times when it can be least expected. Life is sweet. To God Be The Glory!
8.09pm 50 Years (Alicia) music, performance & arrangement by Jyel Tagbo; words by Mitchell Badelles;
And just like Jyel was saying in the song, Life, we realise that life really is sweet and beautiful and we have to see it that way. I wrote this song 8 years ago when I turned 50. It was a time when I was also struggling to see where my life was heading, and what I cold leave for my daughter. Turns out all I can leave for my daughter was love and understanding. We can’t take our material possessions with us.
8.16pm Give Up The Lie by Bone Pagligaran featuring Jyel Tagbo;
Here we have Bond reminding us that we need to live our own lives, and not someone else’s. We have to open our heart and our minds, so we can see and give up the lie that we live. Bakit lie? If it’s not our truth, we are just living somebody else’s life, then it’s a lie. We can’t rely on anyone else. We shouldn’t walk in somebody else’s shoes, we need to walk in our own shoes. We have the power to choose, and to choose right, and start our own flight!
8.22pm Sing This For Me Original Words by Mitchell Badelles; Music, Arrangement and Performance by JyEL Tagbo; Additional Vocals by Mitchell Badelles, AnGeli, Teloupe;
Mixed and Mastered by JyEL Tagbo;
Yes, this is another love song. It gets to a point within all our lives where we wondering if the love we are giving to somebody else is reciprocated. Although we know that we are loved, sometimes, we need to hear them say that they love us. They might not know how to say it. So what better way, than to ask them to say that they love you, by asking them to “Sing This For Me”.
8.28pm Kimoterapi performed by Jyel Tagbo; lyrics by jyel Tagbo; music & arragement by Butch Monserrat; recorded at Monserrat Musikworx, Newnham, Tasmania; vocals & guitar solo recording at JFT Studios; presented by Independent music Collaboration Group;
This is a story of Jyel’s malady, his state of suffering with cancer, and SADS Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome; this song is in tagalog. It tells us about his fears, his doubts, and he tries to describe the pain that he goes through, mentally and physically;
8.34pm Bumalik Ka Na Sa Akin (Come Back To Me)Words/Music/Performed by JyEL Tagbo;
Co-written with Mitchell Badelles (December 2021); Commissioned for and by Mitchell Badelles; Mixed and Mastered by Jyel Tagb;Recorded at JFT Music Studios;
This song is the reason why, Sing This For Me was written. When you love someone, and they are far away, and you really miss them, you ask them to come back. This song was also influenced by covid and it’s effects on relationships. Mahirap talaga ang long-distance relationships.
