We have become so dependent on social media for our entertainment and as an entryway into others' lives that we ignore the impact it actually has on our own lives. The reality is, people are constantly showcasing the best pieces of their life on social media. which leaves us comparing our true reality to our friends' idealized, perfectly Instagram filtered feed.
This doesn't mean you need to get off of social media. Instead, you need to be intentional about how you spend your time and energy on social media and work on the following 3 habits:
1: Reduce your time on social media: use phone reminders, limits and check your screen time.
2. Assess where your negative comparisons are coming from and make the necessary changes to stop them.
3. Redirect your focus on the things that really matter.
