DP & McGhee are about to take a hiatus from the show to enjoy the summer. But before they sign off for a few weeks, they touch on a number of topics around the sports industry. No show would be complete without a discussion of LIV Golf, but while the merger (or whatever you want to call it) between the TOUR and LIV Golf is under legal and regulatory scrutiny, it will continue to be newsworthy. But golf in general continues to create compelling storylines, whether it’s the US Open won by a guy who'd never made a cut at the tournament, or the NFL-style finish to the Canadian Open, it continues to make the back pages (the sports section), and not just the front.
Finals ratings, both NBA and NHL, make the cut, as does the rehiring of Greg Berhalter to once again lead the US Men’s National Team.
