Description

Christians across the world celebrate the Last Supper on the Thursday right before Good Friday. They do it because it was here that Jesus instituted the Lord's Supper, or Communion, that marked the New Covenant. Christians from more liturgical traditions call this Maundy Thursday. Our church takes the Sunday right after Easter to celebrate the New Covenant and talk about what it means. Jesus said that, in the symbolism the Lord's Supper, the "cup" was the new covenant in His blood (Lk 22:20). What does that mean? What is the "new covenant"?
