The people of Israel didn't obey the covenant God made with them at Mt. Sinai. He knows it. They know it. And so, the prophet Jeremiah warns, judgment is coming. God warned this might happen. Thankfully, God's promises have never hinged on us! After Jeremiah explains how and why they broke the Old Covenant, we turn to see why the New Covenant is a better arrangement, built on better promises.
