The prophets often alternate between hope and gloom. Hope for the portion of the audience that longs for God and regrets the corruption in the believing community. Gloom for the posers, the pretenders, the externalists who claim to worship God but are really just out for themselves. Here, God switches to gloom. But, the way he frames his frustration here is so powerful---He uses the tone of someone who has been betrayed. Pastor Tyler preaches from Micah 6.
