Paul wishes the Jewish people would accept Jesus as their Messiah. In Romans ch. 9, he defended God's character and essentially said "God can do what He wants because He's God." Then, lest we think this means we're all puppets dancing helplessly to God's tune, Paul closed the chapter by declaring that Israel didn't believe in Jesus because they pursued righteousness by works--what I call "resume-ism." Now, the apostle explains more about Israel's failure. As we see what they did wrong, God challenges us to think about our own lives. Pastor Tyler preaches from Romans 10.
