Watching hockey last night looking at some amazing quick reactions by Boston Bruin's Goalie Tuukka Rask. This included fast lateral arm movement to snag that puck, which is a lot of that middle deltoid muscle. Tune in to learn more about the anatomy and function of this muscle, including how to train it. We review methods of exercise in both open chain and closed chain. As well as introduce a concept taught to me by my mentor, Kelly Starrett (K-Star), open torque and closed torque exercises. Now let's get out there and get some strong shoulders to make the weight of the world feel a little bit lighter.
