November 15th, 2017, and Australia voted on the Marriage Equality bill. The result was in the affirmative. Five years on though, and we have seen increased encroachment on religion, religious freedoms, religious expression, religious institutions, and children are now the frontline of the so-called 'equity, inclusion, and diversity' battleground. Was it worth it?
