It’s Mental Illness Awareness Week, and I hosted a 5k walk in Fort Collins yesterday to raise awareness. I met the most amazing people.
We talked about living with someone who isn’t willing to accept their mental illness, and the toll that takes on their loved ones.
And we’ve all been there - with a physical illness or injury we haven’t wanted to admit! I refused to admit I was sick as a kid and begged to go to school (my brother still laughs about that part!) I got sick in the car and ended up back at home 😂
On today’s episode of The Be Ruthless Show, I discuss The Bad Patient Syndrome in depth. I discuss how it impacts the individual in question and makes their life harder than it already is. And I discuss what friends and loved ones can do when dealing with people denying or resisting.
