Description

Seriously, what are we doing?  Drew and Cody discuss a pretty demoralizing loss to Seattle.  SKC's play wasn't overtly terrible, but this was a clear distillation of clubs in vastly different places.  Schmetzer had a fantastic scheme to both keep SKC from being dangerous and to exploit them for chances.  Watching Will Bruin and Kelyn Rowe be significant pieces in said scheme is hard to stomach given SKC's inability to get similar value out of the same or similar players in the past, and Drew and Cody discuss why that may be.

Additionally, can SKC finally move on from the possession based system that seems to be ill-conceived for the skillset of its roster?  We've been talking about pragmatism for a few weeks, and we discuss some simple changes to philosophy that could potentially lead to more useful results.  Do we expect them?  Maybe not, but the options do exist.

It's not all bad, and there are opportunities for players to continue to grow and hone their craft, and while RBNY will press heavily, they are a gettable opponent.
