While busing became the face of desegregation in Boston, public housing also underwent desegregation. One of these, East Boston's Maverick public housing development, was integrated as early as the 1960s. In this episode of (Dis)integration, Abou Kamara speaks with one Black student who lived in the Maverick Street Public Housing Development during the time of busing.
(Dis)integration is a production of Podcasting 101 at Boston University's College of Communication.
