Every day there are hundreds of awkward and troubling conversations going on between "questioners" (that is, LDS church members) and "questionees" (LDS bishops, stake presidents, Relief Society officers, branch presidents, CES teachers and leaders, mission presidents and other mid-level LDS church officials). Those conversations are not going well. The questioners are asking deep theological and philosophical questions (for example, How can we know God exists? What about the problem of evil? Does the Bible really have as many historical and factual problems as does the Book of Mormon?). Bishops and other LDS leaders and teachers just aren't finding the answers in the standard works, conference talks, or LDS-produced manuals, magazines and materials.
Result: Most people (especially young adults) who are leaving the LDS church are resigning themselves to agnosticism or atheism.
It doesn't have to be that way.
There are answers.
Transition2Hope is very much a part of that conversation.
We care deeply about folks who are migrating away from the LDS Church and other top-down, legalistic religious systems. We are a resource to help you navigate the many historical, theological and philosophical issues. And we want to encourage you to not give up on God.
