Join the podcast as we talk with veteran artist Rob Fess. Rob believes music is a powerful form of therapy for everyone, including children and fellow veterans. “Music is universal. It brings everyone together. It calms me and helps children and veterans with mental health struggles,” he says .In April 2025, Rob performed at the first annual Toby Keith Patriot Award ceremony hosted by the Catch a Lift Fund in Washington, DC, a prestigious event honoring supporters of veterans. His heartfelt piano performance stood out as a highlight of the evening. Rob performs at VA hospitals and hotels, and he is planning a tour to perform in some of the world’s most beautiful churches. Music has become his way of serving and healing others. Rob chooses music. “When I play music, the bad thoughts go away,” he shares. “I don’t know what I’d do without music. Everywhere I go, I look for a piano so I can play and keep making the right decisions.”
