Yesterday, as we all began to process the realities of war in Ukraine, I stumbled upon several social media posts including quotes from Carl Sagan and images of the Pale Blue Dot that Sagan so emotionally describes in his book of the same title. These words move me to unimaginable places of comfort, ever since I first heard them, but I learned soon after that not everyone might feel that way after listening to it. So, I decided to read it to you and afterwards share a quick story about perspective.
