Have you lost a loved one and feel like your world has completely transformed? Learning to live with absence is an art that is cultivated with time, patience and a lot of compassion.
In the new episode of my podcast, “Transforming Grief” I guide you through two powerful exercises:
1. Anchoring in the present:
Focus on your breathing and visualize how you absorb life with each inhalation.
Remember a good time with your loved one and celebrate the beauty of that memory.
Commit to doing an activity that brings you joy this week.
2. The Empty Chair:
Dialogue with your loved one who is no longer here, expressing your feelings and releasing the emotional burden. Reverse the roles and listen to what your loved one might tell you.
Reflect on the experience and capture your emotions in a drawing or writing.
Do you dare to try these exercises? Tell me in the comments how it went and remember that you can find more tools for grief on my website www.ligiahouben.com and on my YouTube channel: youtube/Ligia Houben
