In this episode, we explore the challenging paths of grief and how we can provide support to our loved ones when we are immersed in our own grieving process. We keep in mind that the journey of grief is intimate and personal; it is unique to each individual.
I share valuable recommendations, emphasizing the importance of maintaining open communication, sharing how they feel, and how they are experiencing their grieving process. We give them the opportunity to share their feelings, allowing them to express themselves in different ways. We want to recognize and respect differences, without falling into the trap of comparisons. Each grieving process is unique and deserves to be honored as such.
If you find yourself in a situation where managing your own grief and supporting another is overwhelming, I recommend seeking help from a professional, such as a psychotherapist. Sometimes, external support can be crucial for healing and moving forward.
Don’t forget the value of self-care in this process. Taking care of yourself is essential to be present and offer support to others. In this episode, we will explore strategies and practical tips for self-care while accompanying your grieving loved ones.
