Welcome to our min-series dubbed “the MYTH of Christmas”
At the very outset we would like to be clear about WHAT THIS SERIES IS about and WHAT IT IS NOT about.
This series is:
- NOT About attacking those who celebrate Christmas
- NOT About attempting to stop anyone from enjoying the celebrations or Gift-Giving that comes with Christmas
- NOT About demonizing the rituals around Christmas and all sorts of spookiness that goes with that
WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
We experience the story of Jesus’s birth in a variety of ways throughout the Christmas season.
The story is presented through nativity scenes, TV shows, story books, paintings, and Christmas pageants.
In fact, we encounter the Christmas story so often we’re convinced we know all the details of what it entails, yet many of the things we think we “know” about the Christmas story turn out to be incorrect. It's time to find the real stories behind Christmas legends and holiday myths.
With over 2,000 years of history, the Christmas holiday comes with a host of myths, legends, lies, misconceptions, and commonly believed things that are just completely wrong.
From the origin of the holiday itself, to the historical date and year of Christ's birth, to the modern marketing of iconic Christmas figures like Santa Claus, much of what is commonly believed about Christmas simply isn't true.
We will divide our Conversation into 2 BROAD Sections:
--1.What REALLY HAPPENED according to scripture, the Chronology of events and the POWER behind the reality of the Birth of Christ.
--2.In no specific order, the myths, rituals and activities that have overshadowed this reality and how Christmas as currently celebrated actually MASKS & OBSCURES or literally hijacks this powerful Truths and leaves us with a powerless reality where:
--Every Year Jesus becomes a Baby while the Devil remains a fully grown devil and by easter Jesus is Dead, this is then repeated year on year while the devil grows stronger and stronger as the years go by.
--At the end of these series our intent is that you will have the ability to extract the power behind the birth of Christ and still be able to enjoy your festivities of any festive season without attaching some sort of “Holy” ritual to them, they are mutually exclusive.
