If we were to honestly look at what needs to shift within the Glocal TCC and this is based on feedback and also listening to what is behind what is being said, it can all be summed up in ONE Word: Economic Growth Namely, Finances.
Whichever way we ask the questions about our Rod’s and so on the ultimate reality is that it rises and falls on our economic well-being.
We can start all the Pharisaic & Sadducee arguments about not being materialistic and hide behind our poverty Theology that Loves to:
Spiritualize anything Material in the OLD Testament like Gold, Animals, Riches, wellbeing etc.
But is VERY Practical about Trauma, Lack, Pain, debt, poverty etc. suddenly we lose our “symbolism” and get practical about TROUBLE.
Connected to this is this “Fallacy” that when we are “Good enough” for God things will just “Fall into Our Laps”
After that we have this “Unattainable perfection” that we have to continuously work on with the Goalposts always changing.
