Description

Creation is the beginning of God’s Revelation of himself, in which his reality is manifested to us to even explain our very own existence.

God’s act of creation is not a historical event that happens within time, but it is instead a metaphysical reality describing the universe’s dependence on God’s eternal act of creating, which transcends time.

After all time as we know it is only introduced on the Fourth “Day” of God which we really have no mechanism for measurement in context of our understanding of time.

Gen 1:14-19.

14 Then God said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years;

15 and let them be for lights in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth”; and it was so.

16 Then God made two great [d]lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He made the stars also.

17 God set them in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth,

18 and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good.

19 So the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

This is crucially important for us to note that we are the creatures trapped in time GOD is NOT, and therefore it is absolutely wrong to try and fit God’s purposes into our time-frame or measure His impact or influence in our lives using the tool of time.

Time is for our benefit not His neither is He bound by or limited by time.
