As we head to one of the most significant Holidays in Christendom, we would once again want to have a series of discussions of the origins of the term now widely used to describe this holiday.
The reason we do such segments is to highlight how effectively the enemy can hijack a crucial component of the kingdom of God and dilute it’s significance and power by reducing it to a set of rituals and traditions not found in scripture but rooted in pagan traditions.
The term is Easter.
From the very outset, we would like to make it very clear that we totally believe and accept that the event associated with this term is the MOST SIGNIFICANT EVENT IN HUMAN HISTORY, the Death & Resurrection of Jesus Christ .
It is important that we do this because much like the discussions we had similarly titled the “MYTH OF CHRISTMAS”, we would like to de-link the event from the term and all the activities and rituals wrongfully associated with it that reduces it to a ritualistic event associated with powerless practices.
These rituals then keep is in the loop of the EVENTS instead of the OUTCOMES of the event.
