Gen. 2:7
7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.(soul)
We are going to dwell here for a bit of a while for clarity, let us backtrack to Genesis 1:26 & 27
26 Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth."
Here we are introduced to the concept of “MAKE”
27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
Here we are introduced to the FIRST PART of the concept of MAKE which is “CREATE” which included Blessing them and instructing them.
Then in Genesis 2:7 we are introduced to the SECOND PART, that completes the process.
1.God FORMED man FROM-NOT OF the DUST OF THE GROUND.
The Bible verses that say made “of” are usually in italics which means that would be a recent insertion to the text and was not necessarily the original, this is usually well-intentioned in an attempt to help in understanding the scripture but sometimes it can miss the point.

When we say something is "made of" a material, it indicates that the material primarily constitutes the object, forming its main substance or composition.
On the other hand, when we say something is "made from" a material, it suggests that the material underwent a transformation or process to become the final product. This implies that the material might have been altered or combined with other substances.
2.God BREATHED into his nostrils the BREATH OF LIFE:
God “BLEW or IMPARTED” into man the “neshamah”:(spirit of man)
3. Man (spirit who had ALREADY been CREATED), BECAME a LIVING BEING (Soul)
NOT A BODY!
SOUL/BEING: nephesh {neh'-fesh}
