Description

This is Matthew 19: 10-15: Continuing Discussion of Divorce and Marriage, the Single Life, and Children Leading the Way

Revisiting the previous lesson, Moses gave the law allowing divorce but The God of Moses made male and female to cling to one another and not separate.

The example of eunuchs and a celibate life shows that the single life is a calling, for those who can receive/accept it, a gift. But one is not better than the other, single or married both point to the Kingdom of Heaven.

Why connect the passage of "Let the children come to Me?” Because adults need to be like children to follow God.

Matthew 19: 16-22

Value Riches on Earth or in Heaven

The rich man seeks eternal life but can’t give up his earthly possessions. He can follow the commandments but never achieve perfection while he clings to his valuables on earth and fails to value what awaits in Heaven.
