This episode sparked thoughts of self-accountability., like 'how am I taking accountability in my life and where could I take a little more?" These questions are often the hardest to ask ourselves but exactly where the peace resides. My guest Omega Mighty shares her journey to understanding her intuition and how it has led her to become the woman she is today.
I'll love to introduce Omega Mighty:
Omega is an eclectic female singer, songwriter and performance artist with a distinctive lower-register and an amazing skill for arranging. Her sound is a fusion of r&b/jazz and dancehall. She began to perfect her artistic craft from the age of 4 training in classical piano and by age 9, she furthered her love for music and performance with formal vocal lessons and dance training in tap, ballet, dancehall and hip hop. Her early years include opening for acts such as Danny Fernandes, and performing as a dancer with the South African cast of Umoja at Toronto’s Elgin Theatre.
Most notably, her feature on sister Haviah Mighty's Polaris award winning album 13th Floor with hit single "Wishy Washy" has been making waves, with over 200,000+ streams. Not to mention, her 2019 wedding dance video has recently gone viral with over 650,000+ Youtube views. Omega has been seen sharing the stage with sister Haviah at the 2019 Polaris Music Awards, CBC Q, Hillside Festival, Purple Frost and more, opening for acts such as Rick Ross, Kranium and the Arkells.
You can expect her live performance to encompass smooth sultry vocals, vibrant movement and a militant aura. As an integral member of Mighty Gang, Omega wears multiple hats bringing together energetic stage performances as singer-songwriter, producer, and choreographer.
