Welcome back to more conversations with mo!

This new segment is dear to my heart because I get to expand the space of conversation! "mo'family" embarks on bringing you into conversation with family members including individuals who have carried me and treated me like family regardless of blood ties.

I am excited to have my family (future brother-in-law wink wink) on as my first guest for the segment, Ershaw The Rabbi, to discuss his upcoming musical project UGK!

Behind UGK ||

The sound scope:

"I developed a more sophisticated approach to the tonality by being specific on harmonies /melodies /rhythms & tempos,

The reason behind this Because I was trying to find the right sound that a flex orange caramel pie in yellow melancholic colours sphere as if you were listening to the sunset and darkness never actually comes more like a light ambient rays holding you through the night"

Mixing and mastering:

"There is a cut off of the high frequency in the mix and master of my music which is common if you do know my music I use this as an effect to create a water-based filter in my sound almost like a glass fogged-up and presented to you to see your reflection it would be hazy but still you like the clutter before clarity"

Lyricism:

"At this point my writing is its own person with my life being the subject of fantasy and fiction for it, it’s an interesting process nonetheless from originating in a hip-hop rap structure to Diversifying into an Afrobeats melodic construct digging into Ray Charles blues whaling, Latin American rhythmic movements followed by R&B simplistic yet gutted versus these jumps in time and Music have given me a deep urge to for fill my musical journey. I now value the history and impact cultures and people have on art and artist together thus anchoring my devotion in linking the gap of musicians and listeners to become a cultural connection space of healing and expression"

I hope you have your tea ready (or hot bev) and lets get into this conversation x
