There is a lot debate about what schools and universities teach, and what/how they should teach it. This assumes a deeper understanding of the types of knowledge (the what) and that all teaching (pedagogy) is the same (the how). Many lack deeper understanding. The article explores work-based learning and work-integrated learning which goes beyond traditional understandings of knowledge (the what) and how it is taught (pedagogy).
