Description

The great Dr. Gaylord E. “Doc” Moller was at Central from 1963 until his retirement in 1995, including the last 27 years as principal. He grew up and taught originally in small town Nebraska (“Doc” was a childhood nickname) before coming to downtown Omaha.

An entire generation of Eagle students and faculty members recall his tenure at the helm of Central with great fondness. Enjoy this “Moller-gram” to your Central heart.

Doc was inducted into the CHS Hall of Fame in 2001, and he passed away in 2019.

This interview was conducted in July of 2007 by:

Special thanks to Connor Paintin (CHS 2019) who cleaned up the 2007 audio to make it audible again. Connor really brought it back to life for us. Thanks also to Josh Bucy at the CHSF for helping Dr. Wigton retrieve these interviews from his files.

Terrific work, fellas.
