For most of us, the concept of wealth to possession of a plentitude of money. Lots of money makes a person rich, but not necessarily wealthy.
When asked to define wealth - Warren Buffett, the creator of “wealth” for scores of people had a short and to the point response:
“People seeking riches never have enough. Wealth is a state of mind. Wealthy people always have enough.”
That’s right, very few of us understand the meaning of true wealth. Money on its own isn’t wealth, it’s just a mean you can use to achieve financial freedom, to go after the dreams you didn’t think were possible, to design your life in a way that makes you feel alive, fulfilled, complete. True wealth is being at peace, a happy and healthy mind set that allows you to wisely live life and make money holistically. In a sense true wealth is enjoying life with family and friends; adding to your education, talent and experience; being more connected to community; gaining self-esteem; helping others; keeping good health, good sense, good humour. All of these wealth assets contribute to an overall personal sense of well-being.
In turn, it aids in the ability to earn more money. I should know - for I have been on this path of wealth creation for over 30 years - for self and for others.
