Rebecca A. Eckland, MFA, MA, MA, is a BSA published author, writer, editor, and certified Soul-Based Coach based in Reno, Nevada. She is the author of the 2018 bestselling memoir A Court of Refuge: Stories from the Bench of America’s First Mental Health Court by Judge Ginger Lerner-Wren. She is also the ghostwriter for the 2013 memoir Cracked, Not Broken: Surviving and Thriving After a Suicide Attempt by Kevin Hines. She was a contributor to the 2021 best-selling multi-author book Invisible No More: Stepping Into the Spotlight and was anthologized in Emerging Writers: An Anthology of Nonfiction. Her essays have appeared in Nevada Magazine, The Transformational Power of Arts Journal, Sierra Nevada Review, Animal: A Best of a Literary Magazine, Stereo Embers Magazine, The Meadow, Hotel Amerika, TAYO Literary Journal, Weber: The Contemporary West,  and Mary: A Journal of New Writing among several others. As an editor and coach, she offers entrepreneurs, artists, writers, and others to discover processes to cultivate their creativity and create sustainable systems for moving toward their goals in synergy with their who they are and how they envision themselves becoming.
