Description

Terri Bowman started working on the Positive Auditory Stimuli technique in 2006 after becoming dissatisfied with the methods used in conventional medicine to treat mental illness. Terri was hospitalized due to menstrual psychosis after her IVF treatment. She wasn't happy with how she was treated with traditional psychiatric medications, particularly drugs with many unfavourable side effects. She was motivated to develop a novel method of offering mental health care in a chill, spa-like environment by this unpleasant experience. To reprogram the brain via the unconscious," Terri created the Positive Auditory Stimuli technique by combining various therapeutic modalities with her knowledge of how the brain behaves. .

Terri is also the creator of the documentaries Blue Rain—PTSD, The Silent Suffering and Taboo of a Broken Brain, which demonstrates the application of the Positive Auditory Stimuli approach. Both contain interviews with numerous clients who have benefited from this approach. These videos show the Positive Auditory Stimuli method using actual client sessions. Interviews with people who have used the technique to significantly improve or resolve their emotional, psychological, and mental health issues make up most of each documentary.

Terri's mission is to end all suffering which is now possible via her App, Blissiree. Terri's dream and purpose are to change how we treat people suffering from mental and emotional illness and to leave a legacy that one day will help reduce, if not eradicate, mental illness.
