Should you play catch every day? This is a question I get asked frequently. Playing catch every day should be the goal of any serious baseball player. Throwing accuracy requires touch. It requires rhythm and fluid mechanics. Your goal should be to throw every single day. Now, that comes with a caveat. You must train, or build up, to be able to throw everyday. If pain or tightness occurs, scale back throwing briefly to prevent injury. It's just like weight training. Athletes need to build up to be able to throw everyday to perform the best on the field.
