Dr. Marvin Thompson. Dr. T, as he is widely known, has been featured on CNN’s Headline News on several occasions and has over 30 years of experience serving as a classroom teacher, assistant principal, principal, superintendent, and educational curriculum consultant for districts and communities around the United States and abroad. Thompson was featured in OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network's award-winning docu-series, "Blackboard Wars."
Motivating and bringing "clarity" to empowering leadership is one of Dr. T's many strengths. In working with school leaders, teachers, students, and parents, he has guided communities to find connections that lead to positive change. Dr. T believes that the school community is a "microcosm of our society". In that belief, the things we do in our schools not only impact society but can negate the progress of schools.
Dr. T breaks down many aspects of why the educational system in the US has continued to underachieve and gives a “lesson” on education!
