As leaders how do we bring out the best versions of our employees/followers? How do we solve problems most creatively? What do w need to change as leaders to help bring out this creativity?
Since we are all leaders in one way or another, by giving people the space and support so that failure is not the end all be all result, but a needed step along the way, we can bring out the most creative version of that person. Everyone is creative in their unique way. When leaders can help that person bring about that creativity, we may be surprised to find that that person has a better way of doing things than we have been doing thus far.
Next time someone asks you how to do something, listen to General Patton, "Never tell someone HOW to do something, but WHAT to do, and be amazed by their ingenuity."
