Marcy is a married pediatrician and mother of three children living in Grand Rapid, Michigan. Her life was turned upside-down in August of 2018 when her 14-year-old son Andy was killed in a car accident while the family was traveling to a baseball game. Marcy was completely devastated, needing to take a long leave of absence from work. Whole trying to recover from this unimaginable loss, she tried turning to podcasts for help. After searching in vain for a podcast focusing on parental grief and child loss, she found that none existed. She immediately felt the call to start her own. Marcy started ‘Losing a Child: Always Andy’s Mom.’ Over the past almost four years now, she has worked to bring parents together with a focus on hope and healing after child loss.
