Based on where you believe you have control of your life dictates nearly every aspect of your life. So building the skill of emotional responsibility is invaluable toward every healing journey.

The Locus of Emotional Responsibility refers to the position in which you believe that you, as opposed to external forces, have control over the emotions you feel in your life.

Living towards the internal locus side of the emotional responsibility spectrum grants you a level of power and autonomy over what you feel about what happens in your life. This is a skill that can be learned and honed.
