Stephen Emt went to West Point and then to UCONN to play basketball. At the age of 25 he was in a car accident which left him paralyzed from the waist down. Now he is a published author, public speaker, and Paralympian who does wheel chair CURLING! Steve and his team are working to raise money to support their chase for gold in 2022.
During 2020 and in the midst of COVID-19 Steve wrote You D.E.C.I.D.E.
D.E.C.I.D.E is an acronym that stands for Determine , Educate, Create, Implement, Don't Ever Give Up, and Evaluate. These principles are what allowed Steve to move forward with his life after the accident and to become a member of the U.S. Paralympic Curling Team.
I believe that Stephen's story is one that will get you to look at yourself and realize like him, you can be your own hero. His attitude towards life and the impact his story has made on people is needed especially during these times.
