In this episode we are digging into the parables of Jesus that center the experiences of women. Part of what makes Jesus such a profound teacher is his ability to connect with every one of his listeners and to make us feel like the Word is for us. Jesus rejects the assumption that women are folded into narratives for men by teaching distinct parables that are about women and for everyone. Not only are women to see ourselves reflected in these teachings, but men are also to learn from the points Jesus was making. There’s so much to uncover about what the parables teach us about who was in Jesus’s audience and who discipleship is for!
