Did I lose you already? Well, how about this? How would you like to legally do what the wealthy do in real estate and not pay taxes?
That is an over simplification of a 1031 Exchange but that is exactly what it does! You are trading real estate for other real estate while not paying capital gains on it. Pretty cool, right?
Ryan Matthews is an expert and specializes in real estate. Although we are both Realtors, he does it in such a unique way that I wanted to get him on to explain 1031 Exchanges, his Tenant Trade Up program as well as give his insights into the real estate world and investing. We may even go off on a few tangents because, well, that is what happens when you get a couple Realtors in a room.
