Cultivating and educating the next generation of the hospitality workforce about the benefits and unique opportunities in senior living is something that I truly enjoy and embrace as a responsibility. We have to show the next generation of hospitality leaders that they can and should find their calling in the senior living industry - the only place where they can truly provide #HospitalityWithAPurpose.



That's why this episode of Tips from Trestle is so important. It's the recording of the dining & hospitality panel that I recently put together the White Lodging-J.W. Marriott, Jr. School of Hospitality and Tourism Management at Purdue University. I was joined on the panel by a couple of the best in the business: Matthew J. Perez of MBK Senior Living & Charles Andrew Moret from Oakmont Senior Living. We shared our senior living "origin stories", what are focsu and passions are for the industry, where we want to push the industry, and answered a few questions from the students.

TFT also sends a big thank you to Karen Byrd for inviting me to lead the discussion for their Management of Senior Living Communities class - one of many of it's kind that we are beginning to see across college campuses as the industry sees the need for these leaders in our ranks.
