Stacy shares with Aaron the purpose and goals of Hands 4 Life, and how they are tackling the aging crisis across the globe, and how their approach to program development is based in hospitality principles. We get educated on the global aging crisis and how Stacy is using her experience in both senior living and the hospitality industry to develop her vision for a new model of senior living community.
In 2016, Hands 4Life founder Stacy Shewey traveled to Haiti as part of a mission trip. On that trip, she visited a newly constructed community that included an assisted living facility for the elderly. Witnessing first hand the tremendous need in the developing world for high-quality, compassionate care for the elderly,Stacy began a journey that would lead to the creation of Hands 4Life – one of the few non profit missionary organizations whose primary focus is on caring for the elderly in developing nations. The need has never been greater.
As nations worldwide struggle to prepare for this global ageing crisis, developing countries are particularly at risk of lacking the adequate health, housing, and other services an aging population will require. Drawing on Stacy’s experience in the assisted living industry, partnerships with established humanitarian organizations, and with a firm reliance on God’s word and His grace, Hands 4Life is committed to ensuring that our most vulnerable seniors live out their days in a safe, supportive and spiritually nurturing environment.
