God said, "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid. Do not be discouraged, for the Lord will be with you wherever you go." (Joshua 1:9) David was a man who possessed these qualities. He was not fearful or discouraged. He was strong and courageous! He knew God was with him. He did not shy away from the challenges. He faced them with confidence that God would be with him and bring him through them victoriously. We need to remind ourselves of this command and promise.
