Description

Welcome to Seated With Strangers. This season we’re exploring the topic of unsubscribing from pop culture and social norms. Our Strangers paired together for this show are [Whitney], [Quase, and [Adwoa]. On today’s episode they'll be talking about Unsubscribing from toxic music.

Questions that we discussed:

What is toxic music? Is Black America ready to cancel toxic hip hop/rap culture? Can we separate the artist from the music? Why do some artists get a pass, and some don’t? Do we give men a pass in toxic music more than women? If so, why? (do these songs reinforce negative stereotypes of women?

What's happening in the Internet Streets:

Meg the Stallion has encouraged people to go back to college, given in her community but does her music cancel her accomplishments?
