Tony Butterfield grew up in an era of amazing front rowers and dreamed of being that man himself. That dream became reality when Tony was given a chance by Tim Sheens at Penrith but relished the opportunity when joining the Newcastle Knights in their inaugural year. Butts became a staple of the Knights and was one of their forward leaders when entering their maiden premiership in 1997.
