This pit wasn't just any pit, it was a waterless pit and God makes that known. Joseph's seed would also go through a waterless pit, where water was around them but not inside of the pit of the ship they were sent on. As YHVH has stated in Deut. 28:68 we would enter into Egypt (the house of bondage) by ship. It was clear in the context of Deuteronomy that He wasn't referencing the actual Egypt but rather an Egypt like bondage that would occur to his people. Chattel slavery was proceeded by this pity ship experience and the life of Joseph foretold it. Learn more amazing correlations as listen to this episode.
