In Romans 1, Paul describes the sobering reality of God’s wrath: when we continually reject Him, He “gives us up” to the very desires we’ve chosen. That’s what happens “When God Lets Go.” Sin is not only punished in the future—it enslaves us in the present. Yet the good news of the gospel is that while we were handed over to sin, Christ willingly handed Himself over to the cross for our rescue. He took our place so we could take his place.
