Description

Hello lovely listeners! Hope you have all had some lovely early April sunshine.

Patients are the heart of everything we do as healthcare professionals. Patient safety is all of our priorities. But it wasn't until July 2022 that we had someone in the role of Patient Safety Commissioner, ensuring patients are at the heart of everything we do and that their voice is heard.

Dr Henrietta Hughes is a GP and the first Patient Safety Commissioner for England. In this episode, she discusses what the role involves, her experience of applying for leadership roles and her advice for all of us on our career journeys.

Henrietta's book recommendation:

Man's search for meaning by Victor Frankl

We have a very special announcement to make - we have made membership to the MWF only £5 for all medical students!
