DICE is out of the picture picking up the pieces from Battlefield 2042, and Electronic Arts has decided to task Respawn Entertainment with making several new Star Wars games, essentially carrying the Star Wars license on their back. With rumors of a new Jedi Fallen Order sequel, and unannounced FPS and RTS games in development, the pressure is on for Respawn Entertainment to deliver on bringing great follow-ups to the critically acclaimed Jedi Fallen Order. Respawn has proven themselves time and time again to be talented developers with titles like Titanfall and Apex Legends, and then they proved themselves with the Star Wars IP when they released Jedi Fallen Order. If anyone is capable of bringing home the bacon for Star Wars gaming, it just might be Respawn. Maybe DICE being out of the picture will end up being a good thing.
