Lenny and Kermit, the Co-Founders of Humor Camp, put their heart and soul into each and every answer as they shared their thoughts on the difference between Humor and Comedy and the difference laughter makes in our lives and in the world. “You can fake a smile with your mouth and lips, but not with your eyes.” This quote was just one of the pearls of wisdom expressed by this tandem as we discussed the many ways that the world needs help, hope, humor and Humor Camp. The event will take place October 9-12, 2025 in Jamestown, NY at the National Comedy Center, what better place to host an event of this magnitude. Lenny is a Nationally Recognized Comedy Historian who speaks and entertains to the 55+ Senior Community Population. Kermit is a Harvard educated Marriage and Family Therapist who has worked largely with severely traumatized and psychotic patients. In today’s world where it seems that nothing (or everything) is funny…in a world where mental health challenges are abundantly accelerating and the social, emotional skills essential to making genuine, human connections are dangerously declining, we need help, we need hope, we need humor and we need Humor Camp.
