An important cog in the 1995-96 University Of Cincinnati Basketball Team that went 28-5, Melvin Levett proudly shared…”I got to play ball, and got a great education, on and off the court, so I won!” Melvin’s mind boggling vertical jump and God given athletic prowess led him to be nicknamed, “The Helicopter.” His highlight reel videos and his stint on the World Famous Harlem Globetrotters are well worth the look! Melvin’s current work with children, his humility, faith and his genuine appreciation for all those who helped him along the way, were on full display in the interview. “God put me in a position to make plays and that is what I did and what I continue to do.” He also shared his childhood nickname and how it originated. We had a great time with Mel and hope you enjoy him as well.
